NGP Polymers GmbH Wins Silver at IQ Innovation Award Central Germany 2024

Jena-based NGP Polymers GmbH won the silver prize at the IQ Innovation Prize Central Germany 2024 in the Chemistry/Plastics cluster. The spin-off from the University of Jena was honored for its innovative pharmaceutical polymers.

Jena-based NGP Polymers GmbH, a spin-off from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena (Chair of Prof. Dr. Ulrich S. Schubert), has secured the silver award in the Chemistry/Plastics cluster at the prestigious IQ Innovation Award Central Germany 2024. Managing Director Dr. Stephanie Schubert received the accolade on behalf of the company.

The award recognizes NGP Polymers' groundbreaking work in developing innovative pharmaceutical polymers. This technology promises to position Jena as a global hub for pharmaceuticals once again, enabling the creation of new mRNA-based drugs and advanced antibiotics.
