Alumni-Meeting...

In mid-July, fellow researchers from 19 years of scientific careers in Eindhoven (Netherlands) and Jena as well as current group members met at the Alumni Meeting of Schubert Group.

In the best summer weather and in a relaxed atmosphere, the guests, some of whom had travelled a long way, enjoyed a colourful scientific programme with lectures by former team members from scientific institutions such as the University of Warwick (Warwick, Great Britain) and the Catholic University of Louvain (Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium), the TÜBİTAK Marmara Research Center - Materials Institute (Kocaeli, Turkey), the University of Sheffield (Sheffield, UK), Graz University of Technology (Graz, Austria), Nankai University (Tianjin, China) and Ghent University (Ghent, Belgium) as well as companies such as SGL Carbon SE (Wiesbaden), BASF SE (Ludwigshafen) and V. O. (Eindhoven, Netherlands).

In the evening there was also plenty of opportunity to revive old times and exchange news at a traditional Thuringian barbecue with "Bratwurst" and beer. Furthermore there were guided tours through our laboratories in the Center for Applied Research (ZAF), in the Center for Energy and Environmental Chemistry Jena (CEEC Jena) and in the Abbe Center of Photonics (ACP) for those who didn't know our facilities in Jena yet.
