Within the framework of a BMWK-funded project (“PolyVis”) we seek to fill the position of a
Doctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in the field of polymer synthesis
commencing on the earliest possible starting date.
Your responsibilities:
- Work on interdisciplinary research projects within the field Baselipid
- Synthesis and characterization of new dye-labeled polymers through polymerization and postfunctionalization methods
- Intense collaboration with project partners from industry and academics
- Work on an own scientific qualification project, i.e. doctorate degree
- PhD project planning, project coordination, experimental work, reporting, and communication
- Generate scientific output in terms of patents, publications, posters, presentations, including participation at international conferences
- Guidance of Bachelor/Master students and/or interns
Your profile
- A Master’s degree in Chemistry or Polymer Sciences (or a similar field of research)
- A solid background in synthetic organic and macromolecular chemistry
- Experience in structural analysis of polymers is of advantage
- Enthusiasm to play an active role in the interdisciplinary research team
- Highly motivated and creative personality, with an interest to shape their own thesis project
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

The advertised position is (initially) limited according to the duration of the project, i.e. until March 31st, 2027.
This is a 65%time position (26 hours per week).
