Bernhard von Vacano studied chemistry and physics as an elective subject, in Tübingen (Germany), at the University of Wales in Bangor (UK), and at the Max- Planck Institute for Quantum Optics in Garching (Germany). He received his PhD in physical chemistry from Marburg University (Germany) and joined BASF in 2008 in the company′s Polymer Physics department. Since then, he has held various positions in research & development in Germany and the USA and is now, as an executive expert, leading the research program on Plastics Circularity.
