A number of scientific lectures have enriched our work in the past winter months:
First, on 20 November, 2018, we welcomed Dr. Bernhard V. K. J. Schmidt (MPI of Colloid- and Interfaces, Potsdam/Golm), who spoke on "Double hydrophilic block copolymer self-assembly and Carbon Nitride-derived hydrogels".
This was followed by Dr. Norbert Windhab (Vice President Strategic Projects, Health Care, Evonik Industries AG, Darmstadt) on the topic “Future of Health Care & Digitalization“, Prof. Dr. Pol Besenius (Institut für Organische Chemie, Johannes-Gutenberg-Universität Mainz) on the topic “Multicomponent Supramolecular Polymers: From Viromimetic Assemblies to Subunit Antitumour Vaccines”, Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Parak and Dr. Neus Feliu (Universität Hamburg, Fachbereich Physik und Chemie, CHyN) on the topics “Degradation of nanoparticles effects their colloidal properties and interaction with cells” and “Nanoparticles for cell tracking applications: Some basic considerations” as well as Dr. Lutz Nuhn (Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research, Mainz) on the topic “Functional Unfolding Nanogels for Immunotherapy”.
Prof. Dr. Volker Mailänder (Center for Translational Nanomedicine, University Medicine of the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz) closed the lecture season with his presentation on the topic "Nanocarriers and Proteins: Stealth and Targeting".
